Authenticity is our foundation. Every note is 100% genuine Indian legal-tender currency, sourced through our verified network of collectors and banking contacts built over two decades. We never sell replicas, reproductions, or novelty prints. Each note comes with a Certificate of Authenticity confirming its legitimacy and the unique serial number that encodes your special date.

DDMMYY is how dates are encoded in serial numbers. For example, if your date is 15th August 1990, we search for a note whose serial number contains 150890. This six-digit sequence appears within the note's unique serial number — a genuine mathematical rarity, occurring in roughly 0.0001% of all notes in circulation.

We source notes in UNC (uncirculated) condition wherever possible — meaning crisp, unmarked, with no folds, creases, or handling marks. If a note doesn't meet our condition standard, it's rejected even if the date matches. For vintage denominations like the ₹1 and ₹2 (out of production since the 1990s), condition may vary slightly due to age, but we always select the best available.

Absolutely. These are genuine, legal-tender Indian banknotes. Owning, collecting, displaying, and gifting currency notes is perfectly legal in India. We do not deface, alter, or modify the notes in any way.

The complete process — sourcing your exact date match, verifying authenticity, framing, and dispatching — typically takes 8–10 days. If you're ordering for a specific occasion, mention the date in your order notes and we'll do our best to prioritise it.

Yes. Each item in your cart carries its own date, so you can order a ₹10 note for one date and a ₹500 note for another in the same order. Our 4-note and 9-note frames match multiple denominations to the same date — perfect for celebrating a single milestone across an entire set.

Some dates are rarer than others. If we're unable to source a note matching your exact date, we'll contact you to discuss alternatives — such as a different denomination or a nearby date. You'll never be charged for a note we can't deliver. If no alternative works, you'll receive a full refund.

Currently, we ship across India. International shipping is something we're working on — if you're ordering from outside India, reach out to us at hello@notemydate.com and we'll see what we can do.

We accept returns within 5 days of delivery, but only if the product delivered is wrong (doesn't match your order), arrives damaged, or has defective packaging. Since each note is individually sourced for your specific date, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. All return claims require an unboxing video as proof.

Email us at hello@notemydate.com within 5 days of delivery with your order number, unboxing video, and a description of the issue. Our team will review and respond promptly. If approved, refunds are processed within 30 days to your original payment method.

If we cannot source a note matching your requested date within our processing window, we'll notify you immediately. Your order will be cancelled and you'll receive a full refund — typically within 5–7 business days. You're never charged for something we can't deliver.
